Product Description Desiccated coconut is coconut meat which has been shredded or flaked and then dried to remove as much moisture as possible.
There are a number of different styles of desiccated coconut used, and availability of this coconut product varies, depending on the region where one is shopping.
One of the most common forms of desiccated coconut is an unsweetened, very powdery product which is produced by drying shredded coconut and then grinding the shreds.
It is also possible to find coarser desiccated coconut, such as desiccated shreds and even flakes of coconut.
Unsweetened Desiccated coconut powder is used for the creamed coconut production

Storage and Shelf Life
Storage and Handling Instructions
  • Recommend to store at room temperature, relative humidity below 65% and in and odor free environment
  • To retain a prolong shelf life; it is advisable to store the product under above conditions which can be up to 15 months
  • Product must be stored in clean dry place free from pests, and away from toxic substances with very strong odor
  • Once open keep the product in an air tight container in cool and dry place
  • Handle the product with proper tools
Shelf Life 12 months. Store in a dry place at ambient temperature and away from direct sun light.
